 DBD::ODBC DBI and MS Access memo field

Does anyone know why I am unable to enter text into a MS access
database memo field through ODBC using DBD::ODBC if the text is longer
than 256 characters??

The error message I get is:

257DBD::ODBC::st execute failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97
Driver]Invalid precision value  (SQL-S1104)(DBD:
_rebind_ph/SQLBindParameter err=-1)

Thank you,

Mike
