Perl 5.001e *** Floating point exception

I am running NeXTSTEP 3.3 and using the GNU cc compiler, trying to
compile Perl 5.001e.

My current compiler flags are:

-c -arch hppa -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -ffloat-store

While running "make", after all of the programs are compiled and
the library 'libperl.a' is created, "./miniperl" is compiled and

cc  -s -arch hppa -o miniperl miniperlmain.o libperl.a -lnm -ldbm -lm -lposix
./miniperl configpm tmp
*** Floating point exception

Does anybody know why I am getting this error?  Has anybody been successful
in compiling any version of Perl 5.001 under NeXTSTEP 3.3?  If anybody has,
could you send me a copy of your "" file or an output script of
your "./Configure" process?
