Sept 17: Larry Wall speaks on Perl
Bay-LISA September 17th
Larry Wall speaks on Perl 5.0
Larry Wall, the author of the Perl language, will discuss what Perl
Philosophy is all about (if anything), and why Perl turned out the way
it did (except when it didn't), and in particular how Perl will turn
out in the relatively near future (if we live that long). Special
attention will be paid to the relationship between Perl philosophy and
Unix philosophy, and to the much-rumored Perl 5, and to the audience.
(There may also be some jokes. Some of these may even be funny. But
that's not what you're coming for, right?) In short, this talk is
about How Perl Relates To Everything In The World. Or something like
that. :-)
