 Any E.T.A. for Perl5.001? Or...

Hi Folks,
I got Perl5.000 up on UTS (IBM Mainframe Compatible UNIX) - using
lots shoestrings, paperclips, and spittle.  I had good intentions of
communicating what it took to Perl5 porters.  Some of it involves generic
System V.4 issues, while some of the trouble is probably peculiar to UTS.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS 2 QUESTIONS:
1) Will 5.001 arrive soon?  This time I home some of the issues are, like
I say, resolved, and it'll take less tweaking; then I can sent my
   list of tweaks to perl5porters.
2) Is there, anywhere, some sort of cumulative 'state-of-the-art' Perl5.000+
I could get in the meantime?  I'd like to contribute to perl5porters, but
have laid low for such a long time that I don't know where to start.
Probably starting all over with 5.000 would be frustrating to me (well
that much I'm sure of) and much of the problems I'd report would be
very old news and have already been addressed (well I can hope).

Regards,  Hal
