Cosmic nastran???

 Cosmic nastran???

Hello there fellow F-programmers,

I heard previously about something called `Cosmic Nastran' or
something `Cosmic...' that was written a while ago at I believe was NASA.

What I would like to know is whether or not the source is any
good and what exactly the program is.

Additionally, are there any freely available FEA sources out
there for one to play/work/hack on? I have heard of FELT, but never heard
any comments on its implementation. A prof I know asked about it and I
would like to find some info, if possible.

Thanx in advance.

COSMIC is NASA's software distribution arm (sort of) and COSMIC NASTRAN
is the version of NASTRAN that they distribute.  COSMIC can be reached
at:  COSMIC
