 Wall Clock Time

What would be the easiest way to measure a programming running time? I would
like to know the wall clock time not the user time using "ctime".

You can use CALL DATE_AND_TIME for this, with options to get the
time as a character string or as part of an integer array.
See your compiler manual or "fortran 90/95 Explained", Ch. 8.

If you happen to be running Windows NT, the Resource Kit routine,
TIMETHIS does just that for any "command", including a Fortran .EXE.
