C profiler at micrsosecond level timing

Hi All

I am looking for a micrsosecond level profiler for Visual C 1.52. (for DOS)
I need to time functions for an embedded application targeted for a 80186 at
16MHZ.
I need a profiler that will run on a pentium machine and time functions for
this target processsor at the specified clok rate.
Does such a tool exist ?

Thanks

There is no way to do this in standard C (i.e. the topic of this newsgroup).
If it is possible at all you will need to use some platform or compiler
related facility. To discuss this in relation to DOS try
comp.os.msdos.programmer, in relation to VC try one of the
microsoft.public.vc.* newsgroups.
