 Structures in GNU assembler

Hello,

Is is possible to use structs in GNU as? From reading the GNU as
manual, I am led to believe that the only option for reusing
declarations is by using macros:

.macro mac
  .long 0
  .long 0
  .long 0
.endm

var1: mac
var2: mac

Is there no struc directive, comparable to struc in tasm and nasm?

TAI,

Alex
