 Float to Integer Conversion ?

How in x86 assembler do you convert a float with 24 bit precision to an
integer ?

Can this be done while the FPU is still in 24 bit precision mode ?

FRNDINT if you are going to continue with the FPU.  Otherwise just an
{*filter*}or FISTP will do, but, make sure the exponent isn't out of range :).

Don't forget to select the rounding mode, although for most things the
default
is ok (round to nearest)
