 VTune for Linux?

Hello World,

There is a little DOS program called VTune for Intel, sort of benchmark
for Assembler routines. Is there something similar for linux?

Thanks in advance for any tips or URL's.

Regards

 VTune for Linux?

Has anybody written an assembly language program for Linux?  No
segments?  No BIOS Calls?  Different system call syntax?

Any hints, URLs or examples would be greatly appreciated.
