I've try to implement linear interpolation between 8 True Colors
using "Divide by 2 method"

                        RGB0                 RGB8
1. Step              *           ^            *                    ^ =
(* + *)/2

2.Step               *    #     ^    #      *

3.Step               * o  # o  ^o  # o  *

                         RGB0    ....         RGB8

It's very fast on pentium (used LEA)  1.75 Clocks per RGB

IS IT ANY WAY TO MAKE INTERPOLATION BETWEEN 2 RGB ON???

                     Pentium    MMX

Bye.

 An MMX version can be twice as fast, simply because it can process
 2 time the amount of componant per cycle using the same algorithm.
 Also, at the same speed it can produce better quality result because
 it will not discard bit untill you go beyong 'step 7'. (I assume you use
 an AND+SHIFT+ADD methode)

 If you use the average diference MMX can be much faster then 2x and
 also give better result. MMX can be very fast and acurate for bilinear
 interpoaltion VS pentium code.
