 Accessing COM ports.

What port address do I use to get input from modems attached to COM2 and
COM4?
If I send bytes to 2E8 (COM4) I can dial the modem or whatever.  I need
to be able to recieve input though...

                                        Thanks in advance,

you need to read these address to get the com ports addresses:

40:00 : com1
40:02 : com2
40:04 : com3
40:06 : com4

to send commands to the modem, you must change one of the control lines (it switches the modem between command
and data mode)

You can read input from the same port. But it isn't so easy
- get source of some terminal emulator (there is a lot ones
on SimTel) and look how it is done.
