Help!

I'm trying to write a java applet that manipulates the a vrml scene
graph. It has some init code that looks like:

        System.out.println("Client starting up now..." + new Date());

        log_text = new TextArea("Initializing...\n", 10, 30,
                                TextArea.SCROLLBARS_VERTICAL_ONLY);
        add(log_text);

        while (browser == null) {
            try {
                browser = Browser.getBrowser(this);
                if (browser == null)
                    System.err.println("FATAL ERROR! no browser :( ");
            }
            catch (Exception e) {
                System.err.println("Exception in getBrowser: " + e);
                try {
                    Thread.sleep(200);
                }
                catch (Exception ex) {
                    System.err.println("Can't sleep: " + ex);
                }
            }
        }
        System.out.println("Got me a browser..." + new Date());

When I try to run my applet in netscape I just get this continuous
stream of errors:

Client starting up now...Fri Oct 16 09:28:40 PDT 1998
Exception in getBrowser: netscape.javascript.JSException: unable to
reflect embed with index 0 - not loaded yet?
Exception in getBrowser: netscape.javascript.JSException: unable to
reflect embed with index 0 - not loaded yet?
Exception in getBrowser: netscape.javascript.JSException: unable to
reflect embed with index 0 - not loaded yet?
Exception in getBrowser: netscape.javascript.JSException: unable to
reflect embed with index 0 - not loaded yet?
...

And yet I do see the VRML browser on the web page with the correct scene
loaded up. Any idea what's going on?

Wade

Hi Wade Olsen,

The code should be in the "start" method not in the "init".

(I don't know if this will solve your problem, but its possible ...)
