Announce: Data driven OO Framework for creating 3D web sites

TDOFC (Three D Organizational Foundation Classes) is a data-driven
Object-Oriented Framework implemented in Java to facilitate the development
of 3-dimensional WWW sites. The framework is designed to be both renderer
independent and database independent in order to allow future 3D graphics
technology and database advances to be integrated into the framework.

Additionally the framework provides an abstract 3D hierarchical view of an
institutions organisational and building composition. This is done using
conetrees and the hierarchical view is also data driven. The conetree
classes can be used as stand alone classes as well for users only wishing to
provide 3D hiearchical information.

Currently only vrml rendering classes and JDBC datasource classes have been
implemented but OpenGL and/or DirectX renderering classes are distinct
possibilities in the future.

TdOfc is an open source project distributed under the GNU license (LGPL).
