   1996 MENELUG Spring Meeting Announcement

Attention Mentor Graphics Users!!!!

The annual Northeast Mentor User Group conference will be
take place Friday, May 17 1996 at Nichols College Southboro
Campus in Southboro, MA.

This is a great opportunity for you to meet with fellow users and
Mentor Graphics personnel to:

 attend technical presentations from other Mentor users,
 hear product announcements from Mentor,
  discuss MGC products and services with users,
 share ideas,
 see product demos,
 voice concerns, and
 help shape the future direction of MGC products!!!!

A highlight of the conference will be a strategic overview of
Mentor's acquisition strategy and how that impacts you as a
user.  This presentation will be delivered by Bill Hostman,
Corporate Stategic Marketing Manager for Mentor Graphics.  
Mentor has acquired over a dozen EDA companies within
the last 18 months and is clearly undergoing a major change.
This change is currently introducing new products
that will significantly impact the way you participate in EDA.
You will come away with an understanding of how this strategic
change affects you and your company's competitive edge!

There is no charge for MENELUG 96 attendance and a complimentary
proceedings will be distributed to all registered attendees.

 This session will cover issues related to developing a PCB design
 process, high speed design and signal integrity modelling.  In addition,
 the new features of the B1 Boardstation release will be covered.

 This session will cover issues related to ASIC design, HDL implementation,  
 and verification both standalone and in a board/system environment.

 A2) "Design Verification of a Complex 100Mbit Ethernet Switch ASIC" (Mike

SYSTEM/DSP
      This session will cover keys aspects associated with integrating DSP
      cores, software, and logic gates on a single ASIC.  Microtec Research
      and Analog Devices will discuss their relationship with Mentor
      Graphics, and will each discuss their role in providing the developer
      with the enabling technologies needed for systems on silicon.

 design process flows, and a new online documentation system.

Nichols College in the Southboro Executive Park in Southboro MA.

Nichols College is located 225 Turnpike Road (Rte 9).

Directions:
 from South, North: take Rte 9 East exit off I495,
  travel East on Rte 9 past Nynex facility,
  take the U-turn (before Rte 85) so as to
  travel West on Rte 9,
  turn into the first parking lot for Southboro
  Executive Park.

 from East: take MASS PIKE West to Rte 9 West exit 12,
  Southboro Executive Park is located a few miles
  down Rte 9 on the right hand side.
