 Hierarchical names synthesizable ?

Does Synopsys (or other synthesis tools) support hierarchical names ?

e.g.

module CONSTANTS;

parameter
        REGA_ADDR       = 32;

endmodule

module DESIGN(...);

...
case (ADDRESS)
...
CONSTANTS.REGA_ADDR:    REGA <= DATA;
...
endcase
...

endmodule

What I really wish for are packages in Verilog... :-(

Most synthesis support the verilog 'defparm' attribute. This
will allow you to override port widths, etc. The tools
may be picky about the order of compilation though; I've
core dumped the best of them with highly parameterized code.
