Can anyone tell me where I can get a scheme interpreter to work under
Windows 95, or in DOS.

You can try WinScheme.

It's located at:

ftp.cs.ubc.ca/pub/local/schematics/winscm.zip

It seems stable in Windows 3.1, but under '95 resizing windows cause it
to crash.  You'll probably want to use another text editor than the one
supplied.

One other note: the draw-text primitive doesn't work.
