searching and replacing a string within a file with rexx

I was wondering if anybody had any example code on how to get rexx for os/2
to open up a file and search for a particular statement within the file, then
replace the statement with a new variable..

Thanks

Peter:

Get ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/os2/32bit/program/rexx/rxmulch1.zip.

It does what you want. If you study the code you'll see a repetition in it which
is used to minimize the assignments (to fast it up for large files).
