Results of Sunworld Survey on Open Source Software

The results of the Sunworld reader survey on enterprise and
private use of Open Source software have been posted at:

  http://www.*-*-*.com/

For Perl/Tcl/Python, the figures are as follows:

WORK USE: TOTALS  |   PRIVATE USE: TOTALS
Perl          83%                     79%
Tcl           52%                     55%
python        24%                     34%

(The question was "Which of the following open source
products do you have installed for WORK/PERSONAL use?")

It is interesting to note that people use Python at home more
than at work - yet this may have to do with the fact that more
people use Linux at home, and most Linux distributions come
with Python. But obviously, Python is still much less well-
known (and used) than Perl and Tcl (which is a shame, IMHO. :).
