Q: multiple pages on a page from PDF

Hello,

Is there a tool for printing multiple pages on a single page from a
PDF file?  The current version of multips doesn't seem to work with the
postscript output of the acroread program.

                                thanks,

There will be when Quite Imposing is released. In the mean time you
might try using Acrobat Reader with the Adobe PostScript driver for
Windows, which I understand produces DSC compliant code, which ought
to then post-process reasonably.

What's your environment?  If, you are printing in a Windows or Mac
Environment, I would suggest that you obtain AdobePS 4.1 for windows or
PSPrinter 8.3.1, both from the adobe Website at http://www.adobe.com/

solutions are out there for you.

http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/home/ajcd/psutils/

This has a buildable unix utility for printing N-Up from unix systems.

Hi Brian,

this should be possible if you print via the Adobe PS Driver V4.0 which, as
I think, has an
n-up option (up to 4 pages?, not sure of the top of my head).

PostScript is a "write-only" format--it's not a convenient format for
performing these kinds of manipulations on print jobs.

However, if you have a Macintosh with QuickDraw GX
<http://www.gxfanclub.com/> installed, you can do N-up printing to both
PostScript and non-PostScript printers from Acrobat Reader, or indeed from
any application.

By the way, is MacOS the only platform where Acrobat Reader is called
"Acrobat Reader", not "acroread"?
