Quick question first...
Is turning on the binary-mode printing, and the ^D(before/after) in
advanced printing options for my imagesetter gonna help me when I'm
postscripting to file in Win95, and downloading to my Imagesetter from a
Mac?!?

I'm trying to postscript to file from Win95, bringing the file to work,
and download the file from my Mac to a Scitex Dolev200, connected thru a
Unix-RIP.
(I'm using the Dolev PSM L2 driver.)

The result I get without doing what I mentioned in the beginning is:
- All text is OK
- Black/Gray images are OK
- Color images produce an error: Offending command, color image???

Please - any far-fetched idea will be greatly appreciated....

The solution is as follows:

(1) Make sure you are using the AdobePS 4.2.3 driver with the
PPD file for your "Dolev PSM L2" device.

(2) The output from the driver should be targeted to "FILE"

(3) Under the driver's properties for PostScript, click the
"Advanced" button and set the driver for "Pure binary data".
The settings for CTRL-D are irrelevant and are never produced
when "pure binary data" is created.

(4) The resulting file should be copied to your target system
via a binary protocol. (If you use any PC to Mac data transfer
package or you use some form of FTP, make sure that you force
the file to copy exactly as is. It isn't an ASCII text file --
you don't want what it thinks are line endings to be mucked up
in some way.)

Let me know if this combination of tricks works for you.
