I suspect that -Bforcearchive is including _all_ of ../pTk/libpTk.a as well
as the .o files.
libpTk.a is a dumping ground for all the converted core tk C code. I expect
it to be searched and only the _needed_ routines included in a particular .so
file.
Is the -Bforcearchive "normal" for dynamic builds, or is this a side effect
of an attempt at a "static link" build?
I don't believe that I am trying to do a static build. I'm just building
straight out of the box (or straight off CPAN) without doing anything
other than typing make. I see no reason why it would be trying to build
statically since NetBSD supports dynamic loading just fine...
