Basic Text Widget Question

- Well, I don't think that's how TAGs were meant to be used, but
it certainly would be a powerful tool. TAGS were meant for putting
stuff in, not taking it out.

- I wouldn't know. Perhaps if you gave a non-trivial example of
why you think this feature is useful, you'd get more interest
from people.

- Ultimately, Nick decides what's in the distribution. But in the
short run nobody is in "charge" so to speak. If you think it's
important write the code and post the patches.

- You will never get everyone in any open source development list
to agree to anything before there is working code. Even after it's
difficult sometimes. It's pretty much a {*filter*}shoot as to whether
features get added. Again, the only real way to know is to attempt
the change. There are no guarantees, your effort may be totally
wasted, but if it's something you really need at least your copy
will have the right stuff in it.

- I think that's about the best hint you're likely to get
out of the group. It's certainly all I can give.
