Gnuplot and PerlTK

 Gnuplot and PerlTK

I am writing a GUI front-end (using a Perl -Tk) for running my
code, modifying input data, saving some preferences etc.  I have been
using gnuplot to plot the output data.
Now I need the output also to be displayed in my GUI. And i dont
want to write routines for plotting data.
How do i get the gnuplot output displayed in my PerlTK
mainwindow, instead of a separate window.  If storing the output as an
intermediate image file is the only solution what is the best format.
Is there someother plotting software that can do this task
better?
Thanx!!
Ramanan.

Check the "widget" demonstration. There is a plotting widget written
in perl.

Please also check the latest gnuplots. I think they should contain a
perl/Tk driver for the canvas widget.

There are promises to convert GDgraph to use Term::Gnuplot.  In
particular, one will be able to do plots into any terminal supported
by Term::Gnuplot.  This includes Tk windows.

In meantime one can use Math::Pari, which can plot in Tern::Gnuplot
terminals *now*.  The downside is Math::Pari is *large*, and most of
it is not related to plotting.
