I need to prepare a GUI based on Perl/Tk TopLevel window without any cont=
rol menu and control buttons on the top - just simple squared background.=
 Is any possibility to obtain this effect. Has anybody an experience with=

Hi,

You can use the overrideredirect method:

$mw =3D MainWindow->new();
$mw->overrideredirect(1);

That's how Tk::Balloon work.
But then you will not be able to move it anymore (unless you do it =
yourself using the geometry method).
It will also disappear from the task bar.
