 Binding event to entry widget

Is there a way to call a subroutine whenever someone selects an entry
widget? For example I have several widgets containing numeric values and
then a label widget displaying the total. Whenever someone edits one of
the entry widgets, I'd like to update the label with the correct value. Is
there a way to do this?

Yes,
trigger the "Leave" event:

$entry->bind('<Leave>',\&calc_sum);
