 LabEntry problem - label not showing in 5.5.3

Hi all,

I think this has been touched on before but a search revealed nothing.

Using RH Linux 6.2, Perl 5.5.3, Tk 800.022

I can't get the 'label' to show up in Linux, but it works fine on my NT
box with 5.6.

######################

use Tk;
my $mw = MainWindow->new;
my $le = LabEntry(-label=>"My Label", -labelPack=>[-side=>'left']);

$le->pack;

MainLoop;

######################

Is there a bug with 5.5.3 or Redhat that's causing this?  Thanks in
advance for any help.

Dan

I had the same problem. The label shows on win98 and win2k but not linux. I
worked around it by using separate a separate label and entry and putting
them in a frame. If a fix is available please let the Tk/perl world know.

I have a hard time believing this code works (-:  Normally you'd put

        $mw->LabEntry ...

Has ordering changed in Perl 5.6.0, which broke some LabEntry things.  If above
mod doesn't fix your problem, upgrade Perl.
