 Problems with dbiDoRestructure on Password protected tables?

While calling dbiDoRestructure with bProtected flag set, i.e.,
restructuring  a password protected table, I sometimes get Access
violation exceptions.  It seems to be somewhat related to how much
resources are available. Also when not setting the bProtected flag it
runs fine, but then the tables will be decrypted, which was not my
intention.

Anybody experienced similar problems?  What's the solution?
