How to insert more than one records with one SQL statement ?

Depending on where do the records come from, you might try
something like this (inserting record that come from another
table) :

insert into dest_table (col1,col2,col3)
select (field1,field2,field3) from source_table

Inserting records that are calculated (say, populating a calendar
table) would need to use more database specific SQL, like Oracle's
PL/SQL

For PL/SQL you would have to send a query looking like:

"begin
 /* do the stuff */
 end;"

so that it's taken as a PL/SQL block rather than as a simple query
