 DLL and C connect support

DLL and C connect supports Dynamic Linking. In case of MS and OS/2 platforms
DLL 's are supported and in case of SunOS 4.x and Solaris 2 Shared Objects.

What i wanted to know is,  what is the a Shared Object and how does it differ
from a DLL. ?

How do you make a Shared Object.?

how is the shared object code different from the DLL code? or is it just a
different naming convention.?
