I keep gettinf this error at the end of the program!  I can't figure out
what's going on.  I don't want a semicolon there because it's the end of
the program and a period belongs there.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You have a procedure or statement which requires it somewhere in the
program.

This means you left out and "end;" somewhere after a loop, procedure, etc.

Hi,

You must have a "begin" in a procedure or function or case statement
etc.
that has no corresponding "end".

One way to track this down is "comment out" portions of your code
until it compiles.

Good Luck,

I agree that that is what the problem is.

In order to avoid this kind of problem, I make it a habit to type in both
the BEGIN and END at the same time, and then work between them.

Be sure to check for 'end;' at the end of record and case statments.
Also count the number of beings you have and compare it to the number of
ends you have.

A decent thing to possibly get in the habit of (in longer coding
projects) is labeling what ends go with which begins...

procedure anyname;
begin
   if i < 10 then
   begin
     {code whatever...}
   end {end of if loop}
end; {end of procedure anyname}

I gaurentee if you do this you will almost never have this problem
again.  It makes the code more readable for yourself and others (if you
share code with others or are passing code off to another worker) and
only takes a few extra seconds to do. :)
