Does anyone know how I can use an other program, such as a wave player
program, to play sounds in the background, while the main program, of course a
C program, runs?  If have any info, please e-mail me or post it.

Thanks (a million times!!)

No, but if you find out, I wanna know!  I've wanted a hundred times to be
able to launch a tune when someone gets to a certain point in a game and
just let it play without worrying about it until s/he leaves the area that
it's the theme music to.  I want something like the sound/nosound routines
but with the option of specifying a digitized sound variable (which I
suppose you'd have to initialize by reading from disk to repeat until
the nosound command is executed.

It would also be cool to be able to play mpeg videos in a screen window and
just let them continue until the user does something that you've designated
as interrupting them.
