 Reading typed files

I am in the process of converting an application from Wang VS minicomputer
and SPEED II language to Delphi3 and Oracle.
Oracle has a good function  SQLloader, to read external files, but i want
to use Borland Pascal/Delphi instead.
I am looking for a generic program written in
TurboPascal,BorlandPascal/Delphi which is
capable with small modifications, to read typed files. ?
Is anybody there to give me an advice ?
Regards
Magnus

 Reading typed files

What do you mean with "typed files"?

if you mean a file of records.. yes, just use
var f : file of <record_type>

and the standard read/write(f,...) procedures.

else if you want to read/write blocks of bytes use the
BlockRead/BlockWrite procedures.

Have fun,
Fede
