Help : error COM1 "data lost"

I've written a program with Turbo Pascal 4.0

I access COM1 with interrupt BIOS 14h.
Intr 00h : initialisation ... ok
Intr 03h : test ... 97=0110 0001 ie "data received"
Intr 02h : receive ... 99=0110 0011 cad "data lost"
and I receive nothing...

Do you already have written such program and could you please send me a
sample of COM1 programming ?

I am looking forward to your answer.

Are you sure the mouse is not on COM1?
Anyway, with async communications, data being
lost is common unless the receive is managed
by an interrupt handler, with a circular input
buffer, and handshaking (XON-XOFF, etc.).

If you will email me, I will attach some
examples to my reply, I am not able to do so
from my newsreader.
