     I would guess that the BPC.EXE {TPX.EXE} are the same and TURBO.EXE are
identical.  So far Borland has not changed too much from Compiler to Compiler.

     Hope, this helps:  From the "read.me" file for Borland Pascal v7;

=====begin snippet=====================================================
The DOS protected-mode applications in this package (BPC.EXE,
BP.EXE, TDX.EXE, etc.) require MS-DOS 3.0 or later, 2 Mb of
available extended memory, and an 80286 or later processor.

The real-mode integrated development environment, TURBO.EXE,
requires MS-DOS 3.0 or later and at least 512 Kb of memory.

No, to alleviate any possible further confusion:

TPC.EXE is the Turbo Pascal command-line compiler.  It compiles DOS
programs *only*.  It is found in both Turbo Pascal and Borland Pascal.

BPC.EXE is the Borland Pascal command-line compiler.  It compiles DOS,
DOS DPMI, and Windows applications from the command line.  It is only
found in Borland Pascal.

TURBO.EXE is the Turbo Pascal IDE (Integrated Development Environment).
It compiles DOS programs only.  It is found in both Turbo Pascal and
Borland Pascal.

BP.EXE is the Borland Pascal DOS IDE.  It compiles DOS, DOS DPMI, and
Windows applications.  It is found only in Borland Pascal.

BPW.EXE is the Borland Pascal Windows IDE.  It compiles DOS, DOS DPMI,
and Windows applications.  It is found only in Borland Pascal.

TPX.EXE is the Turbo Pascal Enhanced DOS IDE.  It compiles only DOS
applications but uses DPMI to gain a larger workspace (for editing
files, compiling, and linking).  It is found only in Turbo Pascal 7.  It
would be redundant in Borland Pascal, since BP.EXE does everything it
can and more.

The question wasn't about Borland Pascal, it was about Turbo Pascal --
some major differences between the two.  :-)

TPCX.EXE: No IDE (command line only), same as TPX.EXE

BP.EXE:  Runs in DPMI, creates real, DMPI & Windows apps.
BPC.EXE: No IDE (command line only), same as BP.EXE

TPW.EXE: Runs under Windows, creates Windows apps.
BPW.EXE: Runs under Windows, creates real, DPMI & Windows apps.
-----------
