 GUI in graphic DOS and binary file

I am not a specialist of TP and I'd like to know:

- how a binary file should be defined
type
    TFileGame = file of binary; ???

- how can I use a not-to-bad GUI in graphic mode ?
I'd like buttons, menus, edit texts fields, static texts fields, ect...

I use TP 6.

Thank you by advance.

   just use the untyped "file" type, and use blockwrite/blockread to do
all your i/o operations.

  eg:
type
   gamerec = record
      var1
      var2
      ...
   end;

var
   f :file;
   v :gamerec;

Assign(f, 'file.dat');
Rewrite(f, 1);  {  1 byte sized records }
BlockWrite(f, v, SizeOf(v));

   I once used a package called TEGL, which wasn't bad (this was in TP5.5
days) however it only supported EGA.  You also might be able to find a
version of a graphical Turbo Vision library that will work on TP6.

TFileGame = File Of Byte;

would be a better definition.

I actually just use a FILE with BlockRead, BlockWrite.
