You can write a command to execute at startup.

MODULE TestColor;
IMPORT Display3;
        PROCEDURE Set*;
        BEGIN
                Display3.textbackC := Display3.white
        END Set;
END TestColor.

Watson.ShowDef Display3 to see more parameters.

Note that we normally stick to the default colours, so I don't know if all Gadgets
will respond to these colour changes.  Some Gadgets may have hard-coded colours

In the age of zillions of colours (Windows95/NT) how can we get more than
_15_ colours, especially sommething in between light grey (14) and white (0)?

Hi,

a module from my enormous collection (* ;*) to tweak all the adjustable
colors in OS3R2 (colors which are defined in Display3).

Syntax: sngColore.Set3DCols <3d-bright-color> <3d-dark-color>
<button-up-color>
<button-down-color> <container-color> <invert-color> <text-color>
<text-back-color>
Then refresh the screen with Win32.RefreshDisplay (WinOberon, of course).
BTW, to have white texts the <text-back-color> has got to be 0. Some
examples below.

<-- start of sngColore.Mod -->
MODULE sngColore; (* testing caps of Display3, chl 7.4.97 *)
IMPORT D3 := Display3, In, Out;
PROCEDURE ShowD3Cols*;
BEGIN Out.String("[sngColore] Display3 colordefs:"); Out.Ln;
        Out.String("topC :: bottomC :: upC :: downC"); Out.Ln;
        Out.Int(D3.topC, 4); Out.Int(D3.bottomC, 4); Out.Int(D3.upC, 4);
Out.Int(D3.downC, 4); Out.Ln;
        Out.String("groupC :: invertC :: textC :: textbackC"); Out.Ln;
        Out.Int(D3.groupC, 4); Out.Int(D3.invertC, 4); Out.Int(D3.textC, 4);
Out.Int(D3.textbackC, 4); Out.Ln;
END ShowD3Cols;
PROCEDURE SetD3Cols*;
VAR str: ARRAY 10 OF CHAR;
        int: INTEGER;
BEGIN
        In.Open;
        In.Int(D3.topC); In.Int(D3.bottomC);
        In.Int(D3.upC); In.Int(D3.downC); In.Int(D3.groupC); In.Int(D3.invertC);
        In.Int(D3.textC); In.Int(D3.textbackC);
END SetD3Cols;
END sngColore.

Desktops.OpenDoc BuilderDev.Tool~
sngColore.ShowD3Cols
top bottom up down
group inv text txtback
sngColore.SetD3Cols 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (* quite funky ... *)
sngColore.SetD3Cols
        19 12 255 13
        14 15 15 255 (* quite accetable *)
sngColore.SetD3Cols
        8 2 8 8
        8 2 2 8 (* rather green... *)

System.Free sngColore~
Win32.RefreshDisplay
<--end>

 Changing TextGadgets colour

I have a Coco program that reads a Schedule description, and creates a Kepler
graph that depicts when people work each day.  I desire to have my guys email
their description in to me, and to have the schedule be visible on the web.

The options that I see are 1) to create a new KeplerPorts.Port and have it
just produce something I can read and use.  It might be nice to have this
produce the Bitmap type of object that Paint uses, for example.

2)  Ask if something in the Juice community can display Kepler graphs already.

3) Change Display so that a bitmap is available under it :-) on Sparc V4.

Thoughts?
