 ANNOUNCE: The InterView Project

XDS InterView is an advanced source code browser that aims at
significant increase of productivity during all stages of a software
product's lifecycle - design, development, enhancement, support,
maintenance, and reenginnering. The target audience ranges from
individual developers to teams working on large software projects.

InterView is an intellectual, versatile, database based tool.
It employs advanced techniques of software reengineering and provides
powerful environment for investigation, visualization and accumulation
of all properties of a program: structure, attributes of program
constructs, relations between program fragments, components and

InterView is universal, language-independent, and problem-independent.
It allows users to investigate multilingual software and analyze
different aspects of program semantic.

InterView supports several representations of the software being
investigated: hypertext, syntax tree, entity-relationship-diagram,
and is also able to produce HTML reports.

InterView provides a number of original efficient search facilities
that allow user to construct complex search queries in terms of
program structure and program construct properties. The scripting
language facilitates implementation of complicated parameterized
procedures for evaluation of new relations and properties based on
previously collected information.

Program databases may be stored and handled by any industry standard
RDBMS (Oracle, Informix, MS SQL Server, etc.). For usage in a
standalone environment, DBF format is supported.

A beta version of InterView for Windows NT/95/98 is available for
download. It may be used with a special version of Native XDS-x86
2.40 Modula-2/Oberon-2 compiler (also downloadable). If you are
