Nothing to enjoy!

I've looked at what you call "high level" interface to X windows.
It is as low level as all the C stuff.
You still have to know whether parameters are value or VAR parameters
and call some conversion function procedures to convert to Pointer
in case of VarPar.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

Mr. Dagenais was referring to the Modula-3 window system Trestle (and maybe
to the FormsVBT system, which is a high level user interface building library
comparable to C++'s InterViews), not to the Modula-3 X library (which is indeed
simply an external interface to X11R4).
