To change as you design the front panel, use the paint brush.
To programically change: Find the indicator on your block diagram and
create a property node (rt-click).  Then select the Numeric Text
Colors item & either Text or BG color (or both).  Wire in a Control or
Constant to pick the color you want.  Note: a good way to pick the
right color is to wire in a Color Box Constant from the
Numeric>Additional Numeric Constant vis.
You can have various colors (and other properties) vary programically
based on other values - depends how you program it.

If the question is how to programatically change the color of an
indicator, then what you would do is create a property node for the
indicator and then wire a color box constant to the appropriate color
property. The actual property will be different for each
control/indicator type. For example, a Boolean's colors are defined by
a 4 element cluster array (foreground and background colors for 4
different states).
