 Does the "scan from string"-vi works correctly in labview 5.0?

You don't have a format string in the scan from string function and I
think the default behaviour is that it will correctly translate
numbers separated by a carriage return/line feed. Try putting an
indicator directly on the input of the function and see if the format
of the string is what you expect.
