Workshop on Functional and Logic Programming (2nd call)

                     SECOND CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

(Please apologize if you receive this message more than once.)
============================================================================
The computer science group at Marburg university will organize the

5th International Workshop on Functional and Logic Programming

WHEN ?
Wednesday 17th - Friday 19th January 1996.

WHERE ?
It will take place in the Castle of Rauischholzhausen which is a small
village near Marburg. Marburg is about one hour by train from Frankfurt.
All participants will be accommodated in the castle which houses a small
conference center of the Justus-Liebig University of Giessen and therefore
the number of participants is limited to 40. Registration will be carried
out via email (see registration form below) and handled in a `first come
first serve' manner.

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
This workshop will focus on, but is not restricted to

THE INTEGRATION OF FUNCTIONAL AND LOGIC PROGRAMMING.

Similar to previous years, important topics will be semantics, language design,
implementations, constraints and concurrency.

Its aim is to bring together researchers in the field of functional, logic
and constraint programming in order to exchange ideas, to discuss new
concepts and techniques and to improve the cooperation.

HOW ABOUT TALKS AND PROCEEDINGS ?
Every participant can give a talk and send us a paper for the (informal)
workshop proceedings. As we want to distribute the proceedings at the
beginning of the workshop, we expect participants to send their papers
or abstracts (in ps-format by email) one week before the workshop.

HOW MUCH IS IT?
The workshop registration fee will be about 290 DM.

It includes accommodation in a single room, meals, refreshments,
a copy of the proceedings,
an excursion to Marburg with a social dinner on Thursday evening, and
transport by coach from Marburg central station to Rauischholzhausen castle
on Tuesday evening.

HOW DO I GET TO RAUISCHHOLZHAUSEN ?
1) by car: Detailed instructions will be sent on demand.

2) by plane and/or train:

There are direct train connections between Marburg central station and
Frankfurt central station or Kassel-Wilhelmshoehe, e.g.

Frankfurt --> Marburg                Kassel-Wilhelmshoehe --> Marburg
