                                CALL FOR PAPERS

                       Fifth International Symposium on
                      Programming Language Implementation
                             and Logic Programming

                               Tallinn, Estonia
                              August 25-27, 1993

Following previous meetings in Orl ans, Linkoping, Passau and Leuven, the
Fifth International Symposium on Programming Language Implementation and Logic
Programming will be held in  Tallinn.  The  intention  is  to  bring  together
researchers from the fields  of  logic  programming,  algorithmic  programming
languages, functional programming and object-oriented programming. The aim  of
the symposium is to explore new declarative concepts, methods  and  techniques
relevant for implementation of all kinds  of  programming  languages,  whether
algorithmic or declarative. The  topics  of  interest  include,  but  are  not
restricted, to the following:

PROGRAM AREAS
     Declarative implementation techniques
Implementation of declarative concepts and modules
     Executable specifications
     Compiler specification and construction
     Program transformation
     Programming environments for declarative languages
     Constraint programming
Amalgamation of logic programming with algorithmic, functional
     or object-oriented techniques
