PC keys shuffled +/or not working in F-PC

I'm using F-PC (dated 12/18/94).  I find it won't let me enter characters
such as   <   or   >  , and other characters are relocated compared to a
standard PC keyboard.  Has anyone else experienced this?

No.
Maybe you are having problems with the DOS command line?
The characters < , | and > have special meaning for DOS.

PC keys shuffled +/or not working in F-PC
It turned out that I had a line in my autoexec.bat file:

keyb cf,,C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\keybrd2.sys

which determined the keyboard layout.  I kept trying the other files of this
type located in that directory, each one changed the keyboard layout in ways
I have no idea why anyone would want.  It turned out that keybrd3.sys sets
up the keyboard so all programs can, if they feel like it, read all the keys
in the way they are printed on the keyboard.  Who knew?

Thank you for your reply, and sorry for asking a question that turned out to
have nothing to do with Forth.

The keyb command in DOS sets the keyboard layout for different national
languages.  "cf"
is Canadian French.  In some languages, some keys might be prefixes, where
you
press this key and then a vowel to type an accented vowel; or type ]c to get
the French
fishhook ?.
