2.6 Dos Build Executable or Build Executable Extended

In Foxpro 2.6 for dos, what is the difference between "build executable"
and build "executable extended".

I noticed this in the help file.

STANDALONE - FoxPro for MS-DOS only
STANDALONE creates a Standard version .EXE file that is
completely self-contained and has the same requirements
as the Standard version of FoxPro.

EXTENDED - FoxPro for MS-DOS only
EXTENDED creates an 32-bit Extended version .EXE file
that's completely self-contained and has the same system
requirements as the 32-bit Extended version of FoxPro.
Creating an Extended version .EXE file requires
considerably more time than does creating a Standard
     version .EXE file.

What is the value in creating a 32bit extended version?

Thanks
Steve

It will use extended memory (duh!) and as such will run much faster,
but only on the 386+ with 4Mb+ of memory.

In the Extended version, all the support library stuff is put into the EXE,
thus you don't need to distribute the run time libraries. However, it makes
a HUGE EXE.
