I'd appreciate if the SysOp of another list subscriber could forward a copy of the initial list
greeting message.  I've changed systems and the original is gone.

I also need to suspend my subscription for the holidays, until I return from vacation, so my
mailbox doesn't overflow.

Thanks.

One FAQ ... coming up!<g>

Clarion Internet Resources Mini-FAQ
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: What lists are available?

------

Q: How do you subscribe or unsubscribe from either listserver?

The Easy Way -

Connect to http://w3.uccb.ns.ca/clarion , then select the Clarion
Listservers page ... here you can subscribe or unsubscribe from either
list.

*Please* double check your email address when entering it thru the html
form, there is no way to check the accuracy of your response, there are
too many different mail systems out there. If you enter it wrong it will
be ignored, you will know as the form should send you email on the status
of your request.

Compuserve users, if your address is 12345,1234 then enter

The Old Fashioned Way -

in the body of the message put your command ... i.e.

subscribe clarion
subscribe cw-talk
help
unsubscribe clarion
unsubscribe cw-talk

message and this FAQ ... now to send email to everyone on the list,

to everyone on the list.

Q: Do I have to subscribe to the lists to read the messages?

A: No, the messages are archived in a couple of ways ...
   Check out http://w3.uccb.ns.ca for

   1) The Listserver Archives, an htmlized index by month,
sorted by Date, Author, Subject, or Thread.

   2) A WAIS Searchable Archive of the messages of the lists.
In my opinion, the best method!

   3) The messages are pumped into a newsgroup on w3.uccb.ns.ca ...

         comp.lang.clarion

comp.lang.clarion (c.l.c) newsgroup is now being carried by USENET!
All messages from the clarion and cw-talk list are echoed into this
newsgroup, if you don't see it in your active newsgroups then ask your
      service provider to carry it.

The following machines have special c.l.c support and are

Q: Where are the Clarion ftp sites?

A: The main site is http://www.icetips.conline.com
That site is also mirrored at w3.uccb.ns.ca ..

------
Q: Are there other Clarion Resources on the Web?

A: Yup, check out either http://www.icetips.com or
http://w3.uccb.ns.ca/clarion. There are links being updated there to
   other resources.

http://www.icetips.com is also home to Team Icetips ... check it out!

------

Q: Is TopSpeed on the Internet?

A: Yup, their web site is at http://www.topspeed.com.

------

Q: You call this a FAQ????

A: Nah!, more like an invitation for someone to make a FAQ!
