 Duplicate detail section in Report

I need to print the detail section of a record in TWO seperate places
on a report. In other words, I wish to duplicate the existing detail
section somewhere else on the same page. Is this possible? Would
appreciate some help?

Many thanks,
Howell

 Duplicate detail section in Report

Hi Howell,

You can print the detail section anywhere with print(RPT:Detail)
Remember that if you want to duplicate the detail to the side (labels) you can do it resizing it.

No problem.  Just go ahead and duplicate.  You can do it as many times
as you wish.

 Duplicate detail section in Report

Hi Howell,

You must set filter Detail1 to false, so it power off and do not duplicate itself.
At Report Properties\Filters\Detail1 type false.

Now you must print it manually within a loop.
The source point is subjet to your condition.

For example, if you want to print at report totals (ABC):
(AskPreview )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Detail:InvNo = Parent:InvNo
loop until ACCESS:Detail.Next(Detail:KeyInvNo) or Detail:InvNo <> Parent:InvNo
    print(Detail1)
end!loop

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also you can put a condition or variable to the filter Detail1 and play with it.

Subject: DUPLICATE DETAIL SECTION IN REPORT

  Dear Marcelo,

Thank you for responding to my posting. I am replying to your e-mail from the office as I am doing most of the Clarion work at home. I am taking the liberty of sending this directly to you hoping you can provide a solution as the problem need to be resolved urgently. Please bear with me while I explain the scenario.

I am working on an existing application for a client. The structure is simple as it entails printing an Invoice which contains one to many Items, for example:

Invoice file (linked one to many) Items file

The report is generated from the Invoice file and would print in the Detail (default) section all the Items which make up the Invoice. This works fine without any problems.

  Example:

  (itemno) 001    (refno) 224       (batch) 890       price($23.00)

  (itemno) 002    (refno) 221       (batch) 990       price($25.50)

  (itemno) 003    (refno) 234       (batch) 790       price($13.60)

What I hope to achieve is to print only some of the fields which make up the individual items in Detail (default) section, and again, somewhere else in the report, some other fields which make up the individual items, see example below:

Detail (in the middle of the report)

  (itemno) 001    (batch) 890       price($23.00)
  (itemno) 002    (batch) 990       price($25.50)
  (itemno) 003    (batch) 790       price($13.60)

Detail1 (near the bottom of the report)

  (itemno) 001    (refno) 224       price($23.00)
  (itemno) 002    (refno) 221       price($25.50)
  (itemno) 003    (refno) 234       price($13.60)

When I try to duplicate the existing Detail (default) section with Detail1, I get all the items printing together on the report which is not what I want - see below:

  (itemno) 001    (batch) 890       price($23.00)
  (itemno) 001    (refno) 224       price($23.00)

  (itemno) 002    (batch) 990       price($25.50)
  (itemno) 002    (refno) 221       price($25.50)

  (itemno) 003    (batch) 790       price($13.60)
  (itemno) 003    (refno) 234       price($13.60)

I am not that good with reports and the problem is driving me crazy. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Please copy in my home address when responding. Thanks.
