Runtime Error. Internal Error 04 : CTLMAIN

Hi All!

Please, excuse my poor English: I unfortunately never learned it at
school...

I have an app (67 procedures) whitch runs perfectly in 16 bits. When I
compile it in 32 bits, I often get the following Message Box :

Title: Runtime Error
Message: Internal Error 04 : CTLMAIN  (with CW 1.501 and 2.002)
                  Internal Error 05 : CTLMAIN  (with C4b)

and the application closes down after I clicked on the OK Button.

This error occurs when I move the Mouse Cursor from the menu or toolbar to a
browse.
It occurs on my P133 with 48 Mb RAM and on my 486 DX2 66 with 8 Mb RAM, both
with Win 95  Service Pack 1 (Version 4.00.950a).

With CW 1.501 it occured with only one opened MDI Window. The Stack Size in
the Link Options was 32 Kb. After I decreased the Stack Size first to16 Kb
and then to 10 Kb, I can open simultaneously 2 or 3 MDI Windows until the
error occurs.

With CW 2.002 I can open 6-7 MDI Windows and with C4b 9-10 MDI Windows .
The Stack Size is also 32 Kb. Increasing or decreasing the Stack Size has no
effect.

This error has nothing to do with a File Error (4 = Too Many Open Files and
5 = Access Denied).

Knows somebody this error? What it its cause and has it a solution?

TIA for any help!!!

Cordialement

Hi Charlie,

I think this may  have something to with tooltips on the toolbar.
Try removing them and see if it makes a difference.
