 Clarion 3.1 .hlp Files

When using Clarion 3.1, we are trying to access a .hlp file that we have
created.  If we try to make a change to that file, we are getting an error
"Can't write to drive g:"
If we exit out and go back in, the whole file is gone.  What could be the
problem?
Is there a limit on the size of the hlp files?
