 Printing in Windows 98

Hi Guys

I've always used the  "BytesWritten = _lwrite(hf,Buffer,BufferLen)"-method
of
printing directly to the printer in Windows for dot-matrix printers.

It works perfectly at various sites on Win3 and Win95 for over a year now.

Now a client has upgraded to Win98, and BANG!!!, the whole system hangs
when about halfway through the printjob.

You know of ANY differences in the way the Win98 handles such printing
commands?
Any ideas will do.

TIA
